Sometimes a baby comes my way that I just have to photograph. This was one of them. I met mom at my son’s Tai Kwon Do practices and got to chatting and such with her. She had the baby before Christmas and I got to meet her a few days later but they were headed out of town for Christmas so a newborn photography session didn’t seem to be in the cards. I got to hold he at least and figured that it was not meant to be. But then when we all arrived back after the holidays, she was still SO tiny and sleepy, that mom and I decided to go ahead with a session and see how she would do.
And I am so glad we did! Normally 4 weeks old is too old for a typical newborn photography session (5 days -14 days I recommend) but she was a dream! Take a peek and see for yourself!
One of my new scenic backdrops. I love how she looks like she is floating up out of the flowers like a little petal or flower puff. Even in the winter time I guess I love some beautiful greenery and foliage.
By this point baby girl was so comfy and cozy she just was so relaxed and you can see it in her face. Tiny little eyes, lips and chin on display while the little rolls of her arms show that she is growing despite her still small frame.
This was a bonnet I made because I knew many others I had would dwarf her little head and so a night of knitting and it was ready to go, perfectly sized for a newborn baby. I think she liked it too, so soft and warm.
The little smile I caught during the session is so adorable. They are so fleeting and I always feel like a winner if I catch one!
What a beautiful princess for her active family. I’m sure big brother and sister are smitten and mom and dad are so proud. Thanks for taking a peek, stop by again soon. And leave me a note if you see anything you like.
